GDS 2017 – Countdown Started for The Oldest European Indie Game Developers Conference
The beautiful city of Prague is ready to host the prestigious Game Developers Session, 2017, the oldest indie game developers conference in Europe. The curtains rise for this mega gaming convention with a warm-up party on 16th November, while the actual magic happens on 17th and 18th November at National House of Vinohrady. České hry z.s. (Organisation of Czech Creators of Visual Entertainment) organizes this regular convention to favor discussions and collaborations in the gaming industry, especially in the central Europe.
Leaders in the game industry from Czech and Slovak will share their experiences with hundreds of game enthusiasts in the talk sessions. This year, more than 40 speakers are going to share their experiences and address the latest trends in game design, development, and marketing.
The Indie Game Expo, another major programme in GDS 2017, is a golden opportunity for independent game developers who want exposure for their dream projects. One can register for the programme and showcase their games to the visitors. The ticket price for the expo includes the facilities such as space for your equipment, internet connection and electricity. The developers themselves are going to give some small presentation on their games in the warm-up party which is going to take place on Thursday. The participants of the expo will also be participating in the GDS Indie Expo Award contest. The panel will pick the best three projects of the all. One among the three can own a chance to exhibit their game at the Casual Connect London next year with free accommodation and food.
Through the talk sessions, meetings and expos, individuals can have a chance to meet new people and build their network. Parties help them to foster the relations. Attendees can have a blast in the main conference party which is going to take place on friday, which doesn’t need any pre-registration. Game Developers Session has partnered with White Nights Prague to host the afterparty on Saturday to give a chance to have some great fun with the attendees of GDS.
However, GDS is not just confined to talks, exhibitions, parties and fun. They offer a chance to pitch business plans. Through the Pitch & Match platform, game developers can schedule meets with the guests and find new business opportunities.
